أعلنت المعارضة السورية، اليوم الأحد، أنها حررت دمشق وأسقطت حكم الرئيس بشار الأسد الذي امتد 24 عاماً.
وورد في في بيان المعارضة على شاشة التلفزيون الرسمي: «تم بحمد لله تحرير مدينة دمشق وإسقاط الطاغية بشار الأسد». وأضافت المعارضة أنه تم إطلاق سراح جميع المعتقلين.
وكان مصدر عسكري سوري مطلع ذكر لوكالة «رويترز» أن قيادة الجيش السوري أبلغت الضباط بسقوط النظام بعيد إعلان الفصائل المسلحة إنها دخلت العاصمة دمشق، فيما كشف ضابطان كبيران بالجيش السوري إن الرئيس بشار الأسد غادر البلاد على متن طائرة إلى وجهة غير معلومة.
